I was thinking about getting bigger nets! My face still gets hit with branches through the gap left by the factory nets.

I like the nets too, beats getting slapped in the ear.

but the Ponderosa Pine
national Forest...is Loaded.
There's a town / city in West
....Texas called "No Trees"
City Ordinance. ...you can't plant

Agreed. Don't wear one when doing utility work like plowing and whatnot, but when trail riding it's still in my DNA from atv riding to have one on.

I wear a helmet when a ride requires it, but other than that, it's au naturale.

View attachment 30496 View attachment 30497 View attachment 30498 View attachment 30495 Today I made doors out of some 1/4 plastic I had left over from making the rear seats,I don't want to take anything away from Jak ,I think the doors he makes are a great idea,I just wanted something simple and functional for me that fit inside the roll cage so I wouldn't have to worry about catching them on anything.I also didn't want them to come in contact any where on the sxs ,I can't stand rattle's and vibration, I'm not saying the doors jak makes do,I just know mine don't,I used a piano hinge, and a 3/8" chain link cut in 1/2 for the latch

Been staring at these pics a little more and getting my own ideas with the doors. You say that you used 1/4" plastic, is that rigid enough or should I go thicker? Also, is the plastic textured at all or just smooth? I just want to know, cost aside, what is the best stuff to use?

I used HMWPE plastic that comes in rolls, It's a b**** to work with,I had to heat it to get it to lay flat, It is what is used in the bottom of dump trucks, It is plenty heavy enough, You might want to make some type of frame on the inside of the door if you wanted to hold it ridged but the way mine is now if it gets hit with anything it will spring back, your not going to hurt this stuff .It is smooth on both sides,I am planning to spray it with bedliner or plastic dip when the weather warms up

I'm considering 3/16" aluminum too. Wouldn't need to be bent, so that's a bonus, just cut and fastened.

Ha, we've got plenty. I still as a personal preference don't like the nets. But I appreciate those who do and even repurposed mine to someone who does and needs some for the kiddos.

This plastic is also available in sheet form,I just bought this roll end cheap.It was 4'x14' for less than $100.00
