A must have upgrade for 16 and early 17 1000's!

my question is why has this "mod" been a service bulletin or a recall. how ever will most certainly be doing this. scary to get water in the intake by just washing it.

None of it has to be done but they all make a good machine even better. Any of these changes are on a 2018 from the factory

If you’re talking about the air intake kit I ordered my over the phone from a dealer and had it mailed to my house.

Thanks that’s exactly what I was hoping! Yes I have been a ghost lately but I do run in spurts for such things as websites.. hot and heavy for a couple weeks and then the invisible man for a few months

I'm sure by now most have heard about the water issue with the air intake on 16 and early 17 model year Pioneer 1000 and 1000-5. Here is an install vid of the upgraded intake cover from Honda. This is cheap, super easy to do, and unless you plan on going with a full snorkel system, this should be on the top of your "to-do" list.
