If you run anything else you risk blowing up the motor.
I have used it. It’s oil. a
This is the correct answer.U will get no wrong answer here
-the crowd that uses the expensive products that work well
-the crowd that uses the Honda brand, Rotella, etc. that also works well
As long as you use the rated oils from the owners manual and keep the maintenance schedule - you will be fine
I think it’s hondabob or someone has 30k on his machine, changes oil every 5k miles and I think uses Honda oil…..
I have a 30 year old king quad and use wal mart oil rated for the wet clutch and never had a problem
good luck in your research
5k miles? Is that 5,000 miles?I think it’s hondabob or someone has 30k on his machine, changes oil every 5k miles and I think uses Honda oil…..
700 miles is too early. The manual recommends every 1200 miles.5k miles? Is that 5,000 miles?
Just did my 3rd oil change recently at 1750 miles, or about 700 miles since the 2nd one. I made the switch to Rotella T6 5w-40 including the sub-transmission. I might be imagining but it does seem to shift smoother to me. I am considering going out to 1000 miles before changing oil again. I do not do intense trail riding and try not to ride in alot of dust if I can help it. The Rotella was quite a lot cheaper than the Honda GN4 oil and I have used the Rotella in my other vehicles with no issues. Just my $0.02..
Guess I didn't read that right? I did notice the old oil draining out still looked pretty good. I think I should be good now for oil changes until next summer anyway!700 miles is too early. The manual recommends every 1200 miles.
The maintenance schedule is kind of misleading. But if you read it, you inspect every 600 miles, but swap oil every 1200.
