I've learned more about batteries in my last week of research than I ever knew before.
Flooded lead acid batteries are the best for starting an engine but you run the risk of spillage and they may need to be periodically filled.
AGM's use fiberglass mats in them, instead of lead plates, that absorb the acid making them more stable and not spill over. They're also pre-charged, sealed and no maintenance needed. Born on date is the unknown.
Lithium ion's are a lot smaller and far less weight but don't handle extreme temperatures in either direction very well.
There is also the gel type, basically an AGM that the acid has been gelled, making it even more stable. The problem is they don't handle extreme cold as well as a regular AGM.
Something else I learned about the Yuasa's is that they use longer fiberglass mats in theirs which makes them last longer than most. Due to the back order of everything now days, the Yuasa's I ordered are coming together directly from the manufacturer, better chance of having the same born on date and hopefully it was more recent.
