Looking for good places to ride on the east coast preferably less than a days driving distance from east coast of va/nc area. My parents have recently purchased a used 700-4 and ill be picking either a 1000-5 or a 700-4 in the next few months. I have a decent amount of rock crawling back ground but my parents do not so looking for places that will good for both but also let them cut their teeth on trail riding.

1st off, Welcome Aboard from Northeast Texas! The 700/4 has been a Great machine for me, for what I do with it. The 1000 is even a better machine and I have no experience with it. People in your area will respond soon. They will direct you to areas for you guys to enjoy experiences that you are looking for!

North Cumberland WMA in Tennessee has about 200,000 acres to ride and only requires 1 permit per vehicle. Probably the best bang for your buck in the whole country. Sundquist unit(Royal Blue) is the best place to start.

Welcome to the club.
I'd say TN (google Ride Royal Blue) or WV (Hatfield McCoy).

Pics or it didn't happen
Red is the fastest color

Thanks for the input I've been watching some videos of both parks looks like those are solid choices. My parents went today to pick up their 700-4 so ill get to pick it threw before i make my decision on which unit I'm gonna buy. Appears this Covid Bs is hampering not only buying a UTV but I havnt been able to track down a decent 18-20' trailer..... every local trailer sales place near me is sold out.

Yes sir. There have been many surprising shortages since the COVID mess started. It seems TP and cleaning supplies was just the beginning. If someone would have told me in March that SxS’s would be widely out of stock along with half the other stuff that is I would have laughed and made a losing bet on it. Hard to imagine I could probably sell our little P500 for what we paid for it ($7,500 iirc) a couple of years ago.

If I’m not riding the outlaw trails, I use my half shell motorcycle helmet..

I wear a half helmet. I see some people wearing the light weight helmets but I’m not sure if they are actually legal or not. Most of the trails say DOT helmet.
