I would like to move up to 14" wheels and tires for summer and keep my steel 12" OEM tires and wheels for snow plowing. I am in favor of the BFG 28x10x14 Mud terrain tires. My thinking is same size wheel front and rear with a spacer in the rear. Suggestions on what size tire as well as what width and offset wheel to fit this type of tire set up.

The BFGs you'd be looking at are the KM3s. I've been running them for 3K miles and they're doing well.

28 will be your size without doing lift, and the offset will be 4+3 (or 10mm.) Then you'll want to add 1" to 1.5" spacers to the rear.

Go with a cheap LT tire, that's what I put on our P1K5 when we had it Forceum MT 235/75r15 were $400 delivered. They will dry rot before they wear out. Or find a half wore set of LT mud tires on market place on the cheap in the size you want.

I’m running the 28x10x14 KM3’s on mine with 5-2 wheels, with 1” spacers on the rear. They’re working out well.

Found a good value on BFG KM 3 tires and wheels of fb market place. Tires are 29x9x14, will these rub with out a lift kit? Seems like the 28 inch tire is the most popular option. Should I keep looking

Dont mess with spacers and front rims that increase your width and affect your suspension.
Use 6+1 front rims and 5+2 rear rims to keep factory offset and factory vehicle width.

That's an option but it doesn't allow for rotation or a common spare.

Rotation why? I would use 28/9/14 front and 28/11/14 rear. Why would you want your front tires to stick out 2” per side. When I used Sedona split six 5+2 wheels and 28/10/14 Ripsaws my front width increased to 68”. Also my steering radius increased enough that it was noticeable.also when you move out 50lbs of tire and wheel out 2” it negatively reduces your shock rebound.

Some people like the more even wear if there are a lot of pavement miles, and allows to carry the same size spare. But not everyone cares about such things so it just comes down to personal preferences. I will probably never run through same size all the way around because I don't have a good reason to replace the rims.
