How does everyone feel about a stronger steering rack? Probably build with a 1.25 to 1. ratio rack and pinion. We currently manufacture these for the yxz1000 but are looking to perhaps make some for the pioneer. It would be billet and extremely rugged? What is everyones thoughts.

My previous pioneer 700 broke one in half so you may want to include the P700 guys as well.

Sorry I haven't replied, We are not exactly sure of a price point yet. Probably in the price range of 800-900. We Make a billet steering rack for the yxz1000 right now used in lucasoil racing series. Those come in a 1:1 ratio 1.25:1 and 2:1 ratios. We really have to just get one completed and tested and see where we are in customer base. So far looking really good, I have a lot of people interested on facebook. This will be more tough to take a beating. We also are going to make some billet steering arms that can hold up better than stock after.

Suggestion if I may. Design the inner tie rod connection to use something cheap and easy from any local parts store. Something with a million cars on the road.
Cavalier,
K Car,
Caravan,
Accord,
Civic etc.
Even though factory honda stuff is $20 a side. Sometime your local dealer will not stock anything.
There has got to be 20 auto parts stores within 20 miles of my house.
I don’t know the factory honda end size off the top of my head. But i am sure with a little research, we can find an inner to work with the factory outer.

Has there been any issues with the factory steering box?
Only issue I know of is the existing ratio is slow, I have wondered if there will be issues with this modification.
