Took ours out for first major test today with family and after some fairly deep water it started shutting down randomly. Light would blink one long time and three short times. Turn it off and it fires right back up and runs fine until who knows when and it shuts off again. If I understand it correctly that’s 13 and is for the injector harness that’s a known issue, is that correct? If so I just need to buy the repair plug to get me by until I want the Honda shop to have my Pioneer for an extended amount of time??

I pulled a Pioneer from pretty deep hole today so good deed done, lol

Snorkeled and all vent lines ran to roof height. Thanks for the info. Hopefully I can get it in and fixed before the big ride on the 16th

I recomend soldering the connection and using the included adhesive lined shrink tubes to seal it off for good.

Thanks, ordering now soon as I look and make sure the wiring pigtails are all I need.

Order 2 repair plugs. Do them both. The small investment is still better than having to tow it to a dealer, or ruining a day of riding due to it not running.

Well crap, I had only seen an issue with the rear one or I would have definitely ordered another.

How hard are these plugs to get to?

How hard are these plugs to get to?
If @Hondasxs hasn't shipped yet, send him a message to add another.

Very easy to get to. Remove the 5 10mm head bolts holding the seat back in place, then remove the plastic shroud/covering between the box and b pillar. Everything can be reached from there.

Pulled it apart to change injector harness and when I was pulling the tape off rear plug the wire popped out of the plug. Rear is done and front one should be here tomorrow. Went to install K&N air filter and had to remove the entire assembly because three of the screws were stripped out. Cut slots in screws for now and will change assembly next time I tear it down.

Your plug failure looks identical to mine.

Hey thanks for the link! I just ordered two kits. One to properly repair my temporary fix on cylinder 1, and the other to replace my factory Honda plug which is destined to fail on cylinder 2.
Richard is out of town for a few days. It may not ship until Sunday/Monday.

Sorry for crappy pic. Didn’t realize it was bad until too far back together. Not the prettiest trying to splice and keep it neat but it’s protected and has good connections now for sure.

Got my mount done for bilge fans too. Now to wire them.
