P1000 Bought a 1000-3 CHEAPEST so far i think!

Well I called around and around and around looking for a dealer that had a 3seater at a good price. I thought Abernathy's or one of the dealers in Chattanooga would be the best bet but I found a heck of a deal tonight at dealer in Indianapolis. I bought a red 1000-3 EPS for $15,502 OTD and added the extended 36 month Honda warranty for $600 more. Persistence pays off. I went to a Honda Powerhouse dealer today in Cincinnati and their best price was $16,900 OTD.

sounds like a good deal, but is that dealer going to do anything for you on accessories? when I bought my 700 the dealership give me a break on accessories, the ones I purchased with the bike (almost $3000 worth) and 10% of anything else for a year. That may not sound like much but it adds up.

well I went to look at the Pioneer and it had 150 miles on it, had been obviously demo'd and all the plastic was scratched up and even cage had scratches so for a new machine I think someone had some fun with it from the get go. I passed on this unit and went and bought something else!

That was a bit terse, we all try and be nice here. I think he was just trying to say from his original post that the "good price" was on a cosmetically damaged demo with 150 miles on it that was being pitched as "new". With these dang keyboards English is sometimes a second language and it doesn't appear in type like we intended.

I purchased my deluxe 1000-5 from Honda/Yamaha of Memphis.....no taxes or fees....15,999. Comes out at 294.xx and change with 3.74% @ 60mo. 600 for extra 3 yr warranty. You can prob get close to it at lake hill motors in Corinth Mississippi.

I would have purchased one at this price also! I just usually have a 5 hour drive limit in any one direction. THat being said, I have driven further and just made it a weekend "get-away" with the wife and stepdaughter before....
