Bull Run ride

@joeymt33 google maps says it is only an hour and 8 minutes from here, not too bad.

Riding BullRun Tuesday the 4th. Sorry for the short notice. Anyone welcome to hang when us.

Will be an easy ride with wife and two kids. My brother is bringing the Farm Rig with his wife and kid. Going to attempt to be at the trail head by 10-10:30 on the AL side. Will probably only ride until 3:00.

We plan to stop for lunch for an hour or so and let the kids swim around lunch time. I'm bringing a raft so they can float the river.

We plan to be there like mentioned earlier. Hopefully more like 10 at the latest.

When working with 3 boys 5 and under it me hard to predict eta.

Cell phones don't work up there at all. We can meet at trail head or somewhere else if you guys don't feel comfortable.

It's almost 3:00am here. Had a bad trouble call at work and just now returned home. It's going to be a long day tomorrow on just three hours of sleep!

All this rain we're having I'm hoping the river is not to high to cross or we may be limited to just half a mile trails!

I drove pretty close to your house 45 minutes ago. If I had known you were in the shop I would've stopped in for a beer.

Talking about turning around...
I went around to the Alabama side to ride in with @joeymt33 .
Didn't figure I could find my way in from the Tennessee side by my self, didn't pay much attention last time I was there.
When I showed up at the staging area it was a little wet.
Funny thing was the Tn side of the mountain was not nearly so wet.

Oh yea, I should add that @joeymt33 found another place to ride. As a bonus I got to off road my truck (while pulling my trailer).
We had a great time.

Been busy lately so I finally found time to catch up.

First off, thanks @lee for coming ride. You're much cooler than those other goobers that wouldn't! Sorry we had a short ride. Bull Run entrance was flooded and I busted a trailer tire which slowed us down.

Then the trucks got a work out just getting to "plan B". However, we did ride and took a few pics. I've got some video that I'll put up later but it's nothing exciting.

Stopping for fuel. Even Farm Rig got to go


Lunch stop, I snapped several pics from different angles while running from the bugs.

Here's the road to "plan B". A Durango went through and it was head light deep. We stayed to the shallow side but it was still deep.

This was taken out the truck window before entering.



Marshall enjoyed the truck ride almost as much as the pioneer ride.



Both boys had a large time...

Not sure how the deep holes always find me?!



I found out the Wetsounds still thumps underwater...(this wasn't the first test)




At least I'm not the only one that found the deep holes.... @lee

Oh yeah, the 10 ply trailer tire wasn't the only tire failure I had this trip.

This is the third or fourth flat I've had with a Roctanes. They are super tough but some thing out there keeps getting me. This one was a puncture right in the middle of the tread.



Just took one plug so it should be good forever.
