By the way, the grade percentage doesn't seem to work properly on my brand new Garmin Virb XE camera. Also it does not have the pitch and roll option like @drfubar cameras. Even though we have the same model cameras. I've got to contact Garmin and see what they say.

Garmin likes me better. They knew you bought the other guys camera first.

I bet yours says "pitch" and "roll" underneath braking?

There is an update to the software that I made last week that got it for me. I could not get the software to update so I deleted what I had and reinstalled

I downloaded the edit software for my PC on Sunday for the first time. My camera is running version 4.3 which is supposed to be the most up to date.


It would so funny if we figure this out before Garmin!

Then on top of that problem you can see from the video that the grade is way off.

I **think** grade is actually calculated by the edit software based upon GPS fixes and GPS elevations / altitude are notoriously inaccurate. At high speeds (like a car and aircraft) the inaccuracies tend to average out.

Pitch and roll , again I **think**, are actually recorded based upon sensors within the camera.

I found that I had poor GPS coverage in spots at Windrock which caused all sorts of interesting gauges like speed bouncing all over the place and tracks that were straight lines ....

Maybe so. The pitch and roll looks good on the other guys that are using this camera. I know it looks a little off in their video but not bad. There's some cases where I parked the vehicle pointed up hill and it showing negative. So far I'm wishing I had my GoPro back but I'm hoping that I can tap into this cameras full potential.

Check this out, came home from dinner at the inlaws and wanted to make another video. Just for be heck of it I checked again and now it shows pitch and roll!!! WTH?

Well, it appears to be working now with me doing nothing at all. I'm glad I talked to Don earlier so he can back me up. Otherwise I would have thought I've gone crazy.
