What color is yours underneath the wrap? Walter does some really neat stuff, so if you get tired of looking at your P5 give Walter a call. If I remember right, he will do a P1 complete wrap for $750.00. P5 should be a lot less.Or you can go to Harbor Freight and guy a heat gun and take it off.
Hi Smitty :)
It's white or maybe light grey. I will keep Walter in mind. Thanks

Thanks for your info and input !! :)
My Dad has a Honda 4 wheeler that peeled, Honda replaced the body panels and that has been several years ago and no more peeling.

Im glad you got satisfaction Chet !!!:)
My warranty has expired and i didnt get the extended one. Figured i wouldn't need it because my 1999 300 fourtrax has been a fabulous machine... I guess this isnt 1999 anymore. Ha
I still have my 99 300...those things are all but bulletproof! Guess that is why they stopped making them! :(

I bought my Pioneer 1000 on 9/1/16. I noticed it peeling about July of this year. My warranty was still in effect and I also have the extended coverage. I took mine to a Honda dealer (not the one I bought it from) and they filed a claim for me. Originally they denied coverage because it was considered cosmetic. I pitched a b****ing fit and called the dealer and Honda's customer service number that is listed in the owners manual. The head of the product division overrode the original determination and Honda agreed to replace all the panels for free. I payed $800.00 for the camo pattern originally. I guess they got tired of hearing a redneck hillbilly complaining about their products.
Chet did they give you a guarantee that your new panels wouldn't peel ? I'm just trying to figure out what I want to do when I talk to them. :)

My Rubi did that.Is why I will never get another camo again.Looked as if I sprayed it with Clearcoat. I sorry to say but it will only get worse.Hondas paint and Camo graphics are :mad::mad:
At first when it started I used clear nail polish and sprayed some spots with clear spray paint which looked good for a year then it turned faded yellowish.
I garentee there are others this has happened to as well
Yes, Miss_Oak, my 2016 P700 has the same issue and I believe everyone who has that camo pattern is probably having the same problem. Mine started chipping just a few months after I bought it and now it's really looking shabby. When I bought it the salesman said "it's good you're getting the camo pattern, you'll still have a good looking machine long after other colored machines are looking bad",,,yeah, right,,it looks like crap and a lot worse than yours looks,,I'm afraid you're headed downhill with yours as well. Honda sorely needs to do a recall on the camo wrap. Everyone needs to speak up about this issue. I hate that I missed my chance to file it as a warranty item, but I intend to call Honda today and voice my opinion on issuing a recall. I hope everyone who has this issue does the same. They know it's happening to us all and they need to make it right.

Well I talked to Honda and I talked to my local service manager. They took pictures and are making a report and I will find out next week or the week after if they're going to replace them. They were all very nice to deal with so I'm keeping my fingers crossed. :)

Great! Have you thought about a solid color instead? They will replace panels for the fix.

Yeah who knows what percentage of them peel. I just happen to be in the unlucky group.
I wonder if it's environment, or cleaning products, or something. I live in Michigan, clean it with a pressure washer and dish soap, stored inside and ride in the woods. My plastic is scratched from trees but not any peeling.

Mine is in a shed 85% of the time, sometimes i leave it out. A cleaning product has never touched it... it was lucky to be rinsed with a water hose twice. Haha The hose was just to knock the dust off. I ride in open country so a tree branch has never even scratched it. No mud ect. on it. It truly couldn't have had a more babied existence. Haha

Miss Oak, I did not ask about a guarantee on the new panels. I felt fortunate that they were willing to replace them at all. I just got my P1000 back today, it took about 4 days to get back from the dealer once the parts came in. They replaced all the panels on the hood, doors, and bed for no charge. I am very happy, it looks great. Now I need to wash the rest of it. LOL. Sorry I never answered sooner. I work 6 to 7 days a week and do not have time to get on here much.

I think mine was from exposure to heat and sunlight. It looked like it shrunk, cracked, and then peeled.
