I'm looking to sell my Commander and get a P1000 in the spring. I test drove one yesterday and fell in love with it!! I'm looking to purchase the 3 seater. I would like some input on how well these machines are on a farm and with bigger tires. There was a guy at the dealer I went to that had a P1000 on 29.5 OL2s and didn't run, all stock. I want to put 30" interco Interforce tires on it.

Saw this as well on 31s. I still can't find a lift or a arms online.

I have owned two commanders (one without EPS and one with). I now have a pioneer and will tell you that I wouldn't take two commanders for this pioneer!!! It is so quiet, smooth, and awesome to carry my family of 5

I was really impressed with how sharp it turned in turf mode and rode. I like my Commander but I can't work with it the way I need to on the farm.

How are the seats on long rides? I plan on doing some trail riding.

Thanks for the reference and the welcome. I've cruised the form a while and thought I would make my first post on here.

Can anyone tell me what the seats in these P1000 are on long trips, i.e. trail riding?

Honestly we've gone all day several times and I thought it was pretty cozy. No one else on board complained.

Thanks and glad to hear. I'm looking at a 3 seater and it probably would be my dog and I riding trails, I don't get the chance often so when I do I like to stay out a while.

My main use will be on the farm, so I won't be in for extended amounts of time, unless I get the chance to ride the back roads during the summer

If you're anything like me or my family, you'll end up running the back roads during the summer. My wife and I used our 700-2 to run to a customer's place last spring (about 7 miles from the shop). That's when I began to realize how much we were using it and how well the family took to a SxS. And that led to selling it and buying the new 1000-5. You're going to LOVE it!

Thanks guys for the input. When I tested one I liked the seats but I wasn't in them very long. When I can get my Commander sold and a little money saved I'll be joining the crew!
Good to see you going beltless! I do think you'll really enjoy this rig especially down the road.

I've been pretty easy on my Commander with only 215 miles and all babied miles at that because I didn't want to have belt problems. That's another big reason I'm going to the Pioneer is because it is shaft driven, I also like when you press the gas it moves instantly and don't have to wait on the springs to engage

I figured out the throttle where it wouldn't but it took to long to take off doing it that way.

Well that's the last picture I'll ever get with the Commander behind my truck. Got it sold today and go to the dealer tomorrow to do some paper work on the Pioneer!

The pioneer 1000-3 is great on a farm. The only thing that I find a little aggravating is that it takes two hands to open and close the tail gate latches.
