I did work for client that created spine fusion kits. It was 70k per screw. I don't recall the price on the plates. The entire kit which could fuse any vertebra in the spine to the next one was 1.5 million. They sent the kit to the OR. They inventoried it when it came back and the patient/insurance was billed for every piece not returned in the kit plus 30 grand in sanitizing the remaining kit. That was back in the early to mid 2000's.
