Hey all, its been a while since I last posted, but had a few questions. I just got my P1K5 back from the dealer for some warranty work, lift and dual battery kit installed along with a 40pt service and shift cable adjustment (i was being lazy). I got it back last week right before the snow storm hit the mid west and took it out playing in the snow. After riding for several hours and getting stuck once, it started shifting weird, rode it home and parked it to let it thaw out hoping it was a freezing issue. I finally got it thawed out and is still slipping into gear from a stop and sliding into a few other gears (i dont remember exactly which ones) tried a clutch relearn several different times and it wont take. I'm hoping I didn't totally smoke the first clutch pack and was curious if anyone has had any similar issues or recommendations. I'm at a loss right now any input would help

If you get a rev when going into 3rd and 5th, it's likely your first clutch pack is bad.

Did you rev it without the wheels spinning when you got stuck?

If the clutch pack is bad, relearn won't take.

I did try to accelerate without spinning wheels but no worse than I did all summer creek riding with no issues. after my bit of research that was my conclusion as well, was hoping it not to be true but thank you for the input. are there any beefed up clutch packs or is the OEM the best to go with. my warranty is up in march and plan on putting a tune on it as well

Will it start the relearn, showing the At/Mt and just not finish the relearn? Or does it not even start the relearn procedure, meaning it never shows the AT/MT?

the day that it started slipping no AT/MT lights were on, tried doing the re learn procedure since it was slipping and would start the procedure with the slow blink, once engine starts i can hear slow clicking coming from the DCT area then stops and then the dash in the gear selector box starts blinking fast but not clear the AT/MT from my dash. so now the AT/MT lights are on on the dash and will not clear due to the relearn procedure no being complete

so get this, this past weekend a group of us got together to go ride and I didn't change the primary clutch pack yet. Long story short, I said F it, and sent it, but it didn't get worse, it started shifting normal and the Relearn took. IDK what happened but I guess I got lucky. Hopefully it lasts

Doesn't seem possible, but glad to hear anyway. I wonder if there could be something going on with oil, oil flow, or filters / screens.

What kind of oil are you running?

I just had it Serviced at the dealership so it should be all gen 4 Honda oil and OEM filters if they actually did the service ( I question them sometimes because they didn't do a warranty job they said they completed after having my buggy for 3 weeks )

When you say weird shifting what did you mean. It wouldn't shift down or ??

How many miles on your machine,
If you have shifting problems again [not slipping issues] try cleaning up the armature on your shift/control motor.

Mileage is just shy of 2700, From a stop I was hitting higher than normal rpm’s before first gear would catch and it would slide/ slip in between shifts into 3rd and 5th gears. If it acts up again I’ll check out the shift motor first thank you for the advice

From your reply doesn't sound like shift motor problem .
Mine almost gets lazy between shifts while running tracks [if I'm easy on it just putting around.} if I'm pushing a bit harder around the time when it shifts it instanly shifts. Mine does the relearn no problem. It's done it since I bought it used with 10,000 klms on it . I have about 19,500 klm now. It doesn't do it with when running tires.

After this last ride I noticed it was shifting fairly normal and tried the relearn on my trip back to the house (backroad cruising) it took and was back to shifting how it was before this whole issue started. still blows my mind. Today will be the test to see if it is back to normal
