how did you go about back lighting it?
How much is shifter cover? I guess I could paint it black ?
The shfter covers are $75 with check or $78 with Paypal. If you are going to paint it let me know I won’t buff it but will do a light sand for you for paint adhesion
Has that slot worn any and maybe become looser, maybe letting a little hot air through in the year plus that it’s been on there? What density of foam are you talking about? ThanksI used a piece of black foam I had laying around the shop. Cut it down to an inch thick, cut slots in it for the lever to slide through. Used some contact cement to attach it to the back side of the dash. Stops all the hot air that was coming through.

What I want to know is how do you go about gluing it to the BACK side of the dash. I could hardly get my hand in there, much less get a sticky piece of foam lined up straight.
So this will stop the heat coming through in the summer and the cold in the winter?

If you have a radio or switch panel you could access it easily. I've got some rubber I plan on mounting it behind the dash on both levers one of these days.Do you have an answer/video on the installation?
I found it very tight just getting my hand to the point of where the shift lever is located, much less attaching rubber with glue and aligning correctly. If you have a radio or switch panel you could access it easily. This seems to work very well. No holes to drill. I used the existing bolt holes and converted to studs. I will see what more will cost I paid $125.00 with computer time. I think a duplicate will be $75. I do have more rubber I will donate
hello i am new to the site. i just purchased a 2017 1000 le 3 passenger/ with roof windshield and back , all factory products. i really like the over operation of my machine. the one issue is the heat - hot air coming from the shifter holes. i just found the thread that covers that. the biggest issue is the tremendous amount of heat being generated from behind the seat. i have had the Polaris 900 with the factory deluxe cab for years and just decided to upgrade to the 1000 pioneer over the new ranger 1000 . i did not expect the engine heat to be so poorly managed or contained. if anyone has figured this out i would really appreciate some help
thank you
Montana - Do you have any LE covers available?
Thanks, Scott
