Aaron does it so much better, odd considering Stapleton wrote it. Both did it WAY better than Tim McGraw who first released it… yuck! Too fast, and forced.. it really is awful.

“Not a particular fan of Aaron Lewis” - those sir.. are fighting words! I love him.. However, I will say with the exception of “Am I the only one”… I am very much not a fan of his over the top political stuff. The rest is purely awesome.. 😃
LOL...let me clarify: I'm not a particular fan of his country stuff. Loved him in Staind and he's probably a cool guy to hang out with. But...I guess my issue is How are you really a "country guy" when you fronted a grunge/alt rock band for 20 years? Was that an accident? Kinda like Post Malone, I guess. People do change as they get older, though.

And yeah...its hard to out "musician/songwriter" Stapleton. That's why I'm surprised I like Aarons version better. I knew McGraw did it, but I've never heard it. Kinda stopped caring about him when he apologized for Indian Outlaw. He wasn't sorry about it when it made him a superstar...

Saw an interview with him yrs ago where he said something that resonated with me and speaks to most men IMO. He was asked that very question and said "I'm just not that angry anymore".

LOL...Wow...that's hilarious. I literally say the same thing when somebody plays some of the more modern metal genres where they just scream into the mike for the whole song. I'm just not angy enough to appreciate that anymore...or maybe ever.
