Search was getting frustrating, so I'll just ask something that's probably out there, is the deluxe worth the extra $$ over the base p1000-5? Waiting on dealer to get deluxe in for a bit, but they got base. Should I wait for the 2020 deluxe, get a 2020 base, or consider a 2018 le with 0 miles at 18,399.00.
Thanks

Do they all come with EPS now?

This is really the only thing that would steer me from one to the other if I didnt care about the other stuff most people end up replace anyways.

I believe all 5 seaters have EPS.
Only the most base 3 seater did not have EPS last time I looked.

I would get the 2018 LE with 0 miles the Fox shocks along will cost $1,200 + dollars to upgrade to them later.

So I just went through this a little over a month ago. I was determined to buy the base 1000-5 and add what I wanted to it with the savings. I looked at the base, deluxe and limited. Here’s what I would tell you from my perspective. I didn’t want the I-4wd so that took the limited out of the equation for me. Nothing wrong with it but it’s not for me. So now it was between the base and deluxe. I wanted the LED headlights and the body panels so in they end I bought the deluxe because I got a good enough deal on a 2019. You can add any of the deluxe to the base including the body panels. So it’s really a question of how much do you want to spend and what do you want?

We went for the deluxe when we purchased our's this spring. The panels are pretty cheap. We changed ours from yellow to silver for about $280. The head light upgrade I believe is about $300 but some are just replacing the bulbs with HID's. The only thing I would consider is the tires and size. If you are one that would like to take and put aftermarket wheels and tires on, I would save the extra money and buy the base model. The base comes with 12" tires and the deluxe has 14" tires and rims. I liked the looks and size of them so I went deluxe.

I went with the base model 1000-5 in 2016 and have no regrets at all. All the stuff I wanted to add (roof, windshield, winch, plow, etc all costs extra no matter what trim level you go with. It ain’t gotta be fancy, it’s just gotta do what it’s supposed to do. The only thing I wish I had from one of the higher trim levels is the 14” wheels. They open up a lot more options to go up a size or two when it comes time for new tires.

I do like the paddle shifting on the Deluxe, does the base come with that?

I see no reason to go with the deluxe if your going to change wheels then.
You’re right, the only reason I did was because I got a good enough deal that it made up the difference of adding body panels and led headlights and I didn’t have to screw with it which is worth something. I could have bought a 2019 base 1000-5 for $14,440 OTD or a 2019 deluxe 1000-5 for 15,300 OTD. I went with the deluxe.

Wish I could find those prices!

i went deluxe.all the upgrades i plan to do don't come on any trim level, like stereo, winch, good shocks.i had no intention of spending LE $ just for shocks and giving up a front diff lock.

I agree, but with the money you could save from DLX to Base you can add your what ever wheel and tire package you like. And probably still have $ left over. I just went through this a month ago when I bought mine. I ended up saving around $2,200 which I put into a hard top roof, flip up windshield, body panels and some L.E.D lighting.

Exactly. An aftermarket wheel and tire upgrade is cheaper than a higher trim level.
