P1000 Defective Seat Belt Bypass

Beware of the electric seat belt bypass sold by The Diesel Shop on Amazon (link below). They are shipping it with the jumper on the wrong plug side shown in the attached pic. The jumper should be on the cable coming from the ECU (left plug) and instead it's on the side coming from the seatbelt so it does not work. Its been a few days and still waiting on a response from The Diesel Shop. I did a DIY version. Take a short length of solid wire (14 ga or so), strip the ends, form it into a "U" shape, and plug it into the harness after unplugging the seat belt wire. Seal, to keep out water, with either butyl rubber caulk and self vulcanizing (self fusing) rubber tape.

Maybe just packed the wrong one... I've done it as well with ours.
