P1000 Deltonmade front bumper first view

I wanted a Strongmade front bumper ever since I seen Jackals ride with one on it. Loved the look. Soon as I mounted mine, that love kinda faded a little. It's a great bumper, but it sits way too far from the front clip for my liking. So, as usual, I decided to add my own special touch. I wanted to marry the two and hopefully end up with something I like. Very pleased with the results. It now follows the lines of the machine just how I like it. What y'all think?

Notice I also removed the nameplate lol. The semi-gloss black turned out too shiny for my taste. I'll pick up some more flat black sometime this weekend.

I didn't just weld it over the stocker. It's been beffed up some. Had to cut center out of stock horizontal tube. That worried me that some rigidity was lost so I boxed it in with 1/4" flat stock. I think it'll hold up. I'll let y'all know next time I get it buried lol.

I was gonna fully box it in but I gotta get my hands back there to reach winch mounting bolts lol. It should be okay as is.

I just don't like the "bolt on look". Kinda like wheel covers lol. Hats off to Strongmade for such a sexy bumper (my humble opinion) and I realize to make it look like mine they'd have to manufacture the entire thing. That would cost consumers a small fortune.

Still drawing up ideas for the rear. Wish I had a desktop at home. I have an awesome cad program but drives me crazy trying to use it on wife's laptop.
The idea thats winning so far is making a skeleton out of square tubing (3/4 or 1") and then covering it with 18ga sheet metal. Shouldn't be too heavy and it'll match the front. I'm down to scraps on square tube and totally out of sheetmetal.

I fully agree! Stuff has to fit good. I hate when things look like add-ons. You did a nice job way more solid and easier to come off for future endeavors.

I agree. It's amazing how many different approaches get taken for the same problem. People taking stock machines and making them their own. Very cool.
