Ok I bought a Mavic Air with my birthday money today. I had previously owned a couple 3dr drones years ago. They were so big and clumsy I didn’t use them as much as I wanted to. Anyone have any advice or knowledge I should know.... 1 extra battery is all I ordered with it.

I’m gonna watch this thread. We had some really cool footage from a drone from out Land Cruiser event at Windrock.

In the famous words of Forrest Gump, that’s all I have to say about drones.

Just got the Eachine 58 drone, a mini Mavic clone via walmart website. Price has come down to $70 with 2 batteries, 2mp, 720p. Flips function is wicked. Figured better go with cheaper version until I learn how to fly. Fits in hand. Caution, ordered Drone X from Hyperstech, never arrived, ebay dispute ongoing.

I just bought one a week ago. Still learning but love it. App on phone shows real time view. Phone mounts to controller. It’s fun but I need more practice

@my99svt and I both have the mavic air. It’s an awesome drone. I haven’t used it as much as I would have liked to. I get distracted easy and forget.

I have the DJI spark and love it. With the DJI drone they are super simple to fly, I like to use my iPad instead of my phone for the screen. I would just say watch some reviews on youtube and have fun.

I got the Parrot bebop2, got it because i heard it was more durable and still OK video quality. Its been great for the price. Ive crashed it and sunk it and its still going strong. Took video and photo from takeover last year with it as well. Would love a more compact one next time. but cant complain with this.

call state farm and get a personal article policy on it. Should you loose it it, or it gets broken whatever. you file a claim and get your full money back. only thing required is the proof of purchase.

its alot better than the DJI program that requires you to get the drone back so you can send it in. We already had a policy for my wifes wedding ring so it only cost me $2.80ish a year to cover the cost of the drone and extra battery.

Little Eachine 58 seems like a decent “toy drone” for the money. Like the hinged propeller and snap on guards, crashed alot but still doing OK. Being so light, it does not like a breeze. Some good you tube videos out there.

I have the Mavic Pro (now 2 years old)
My brother just impulse bought the DJI Spark. (Apparently there was a sale on them down at Target.)

Doing a little research, sent him these pics from a YouTube video I watched.

From what the video got around to saying... the Mavic Air @nbomar was ultimately the best bang for the buck. Esp for what we’re doing with them.
