I have increased the width of my P500 to 56 inches in the front and 55 in the rear. Now the brake caliper is exposed by a couple inches in the front. There is a cheesy plastic cover that extended into the rim dish when the stock rims were used, however with the new rims there is bare caliper for a couple inches before the caliper is protected by rim offset. Should I be concerned? Should I make new plastic covers to protect the calipers up to the rim? I suspect this would be the same case if wheel spacers are used instead of rim offsets.
