Any anglers got any good ideas for fishing pole holders? I was thinking about mounting a couple of these to the top of the hard top. Any thoughts? 0d87e04298f70aea8a4fd317978239fa

Those look like they would work. Bit if you wanted protection for the rods you could mount some 3-4 in PVC on upper rops cap one end threaded bushing on the other.

I was thinking about fabricating a crossbar with pvc (big enough for my rod butts) to attach to the center ROPS, and something across the rear ROPS for the rods to hang in securely. Protected from trees, etc., and easy access.

if you use pvc capped on front then leave back open and make an angle cut where reel can lock in if spinning would have to look similar to a l cut slot

I started with 8 equal pieces of 1 1/4” pvc cut from a 5’ length

I set up my router table with a 3/4” cutter and used the fence and a stop to keep the cuts even

I made them deep enough to hold the reel from swinging side to side while ridingA

All 8 ready to go. I’m planning on using 1 1/2” aluminum angle from side to side mounted to a couple of rops clamps I bought on eBay. My rod tip holders are on the way from good old Amazon. Planning on hanging them the same way. My 700-4 is at my cabin right now, so I will complete this once I get it home for a proper fitting.
