'18 Honda P1K-5 LE owner here. Might be a stupid question but are these things built to get wet? I see snorkels added but what do you do or does anything need to be done to protect the stock wiring? How about added wiring like for a 2nd battery, winch, fuse block, etc? Dielectric grease by the gallon?

The P1K5D is a tough machine. It will take quite a bit of water as long as you keep your air intake above water and it won’t hurt to add some dielectric grease to your components and harnesses. You’ll also want to extend your vent lines for the front and rear diff and the gas tank. @Bayouownbeer sells the vent line kits I think.

All the electrical components have seals and are water proof. Sometimes seals on the plugs do let water in ie... Coil, spark plug things like that. But the gauges are sealed component. I did my 700 and my cj7 with 1 can of the pressurized dielectric grease from auto parts store. 6 yrs ago. Also still have the same little bottle i use on my trailer wires here and there. Winch selenoids should be water proof winch itself usually isnt but water doesnt hurt the motor. Sand and stuff hurt the bearings which is why its good to wash everything good after wards.

Thanks! I did an okay job with shrink wrapping the crimps and the wires but wasn't sure what to do about the exposed parts.

I have a Mighty Max 2nd battery w/Stinger and isolator, LT4000 Superwinch, Blue Sea Systems fuse block, PBR switch panel, Corbin turn signals with horn, just got my Brick City cooler/tire holder, few floor LED's (ran in to the fence when I couldn't find the brake one night..), vent line kit listed above just showed up, Honda roof, Honda split windshield, fire extinguisher and a rear mesh panel.
