Does anybody happen to have GPS files for Mack's Pines, Mulberry Mt, Mt. Magazine etc. areas? Just getting started with using an Android tablet as a GPS (I've got Oruxmaps and the Polaris Ride Command app right now). I've read everything I could find on here about using a tablet as GPS (big thanks to @JACKAL for all the informative posts and maps) and am excited to try it out.

For Mack’s Pines and surrounding area.

In the Avenza Maps app look up

- Motor Vehicle Use Map,MVUM,Big Piney District,Ozark-St. Francis National Forests
(Whole map of the area with lots of trails)

And

- Moccasin Gap Recreation Area
(Copy of the paper map that the forestry service puts out of Moccasin Gap)

Some of Moccasin Gap is covered by the label and the second map will help you track where you are.

For Android, also try BackCountry Navigator by Crittermap Software. They have two versions, I have used TOPO GPS PRO for a long time. It's totally free and very good. You can decide which areas you want to download maps for free. I have not used the newer version currently in development called XE OUTDOOR GPS APP. It does require a membership fee to download maps that the older version does not.

Got my ram mount and waterproof case in today. This is a 10.5" Samsung Galaxy tab S4 in a LifeProof type case

Looks good will be interested to see how you like it. I was looking at going this route. Just seems that in ontario there are very few digital trails floating around.

Maprika has maps for Mack’s Pines, Moccasin Gap, Mill Creek, Mill Creek surrounding area, and Mt. Magazine that you can download.
I agree with landman. I use maprika. It has all the forest service maps and a lot of others. Easy to use and find maps posted by others or share your saved tracks. You can select an area Ann's download a topo map from multiple different sources.

Any chance you can back away a little bit and take another pic? I think I like the way you have that mounted.
Here's a few, I can take one from a different angle if you want when I get home. I really like it so far

I like it. I'm trying to decide what I am going to use for GPS tracking but when I do, I think I will mount it like yours.
BTW: The little girl is cute as a bug.
