Got a 2018 p500 in Cheaper-than-dirt-green, brand-spanking new with a whopping 3 miles on it back in June. Been loading it up with accessories ever since.
Put about 10 hours on it so far at some off-road parks, still havnt gotten to the initial break-in yet. I've been spending more time installing extras than I have actually wheeling.
Had the day off today (Yay friday!), so finally finished up figuring out how to haul it around without renting a trailer or buying a bigger truck, lol. Didn't really want to get a
dinky cheap trailer, and don't want to get a big fancy one just yet, in a year or two planning on a toy-hauler anyway, so this is temporary.
Anyways, (not affiliated in any way, just did a lot of internet searching) TruckCoversUSA makes an "American Tailmate" bed extender, rated for 1000lbs, costs somewhere between $350-400 with shipping depending on where you look. Got some 2x10's cut 4' long braced with a couple 2x3's and some square u-bolts to hold it all together.
It's a little wiggly but so far seems to be doing all right, keeps it off the tailgate. Truck sags about 2" but isn't bottomed out, looking into beefing up the rear suspension on that next. Have enough straps to hold everything down nice and tight, from the ground to the roof is right around 9 foot.
