Have a 2021 Pioneer 1000-5 on its way. Been looking and reading about different gun holders. Like the concept of the Seizmick ICOS 2 but been getting mixed reviews about it. What is everyone using and how is it holding up? I’ve been in a Pioneer 700 with an overhead rack, have to be careful as you’ll hit your head on the butt or barrel while riding down the trail. Maybe the 1000-5’s have more head room...? Any and all ideas/thoughts are appreciated. If there’s already a forum on this, I apologize. Thanks for the help.

I use the big sky overhead gun rack in my 1000. Ive only had it for 1 turkey season and 1 deer season. I cant say for longevity but looks like it will last a long time. Holds my guns really well and doesn't take up any cab space. Held a Remington 10ga and 12ga during turkey and 2 Remington model 700s during deer. Holds them very securely and I dont drive miss daisy when I'm heading to hunt. I'm 5'9" and I'm nowhere near hitting my head on the guns. Maybe if you were 6'6"u might have a problem but idk.

Tons of headroom in the 1000s. Actually too much room. Overhead is really about the only place you can put a rack without taking up needed floor space.I’ve had one in mine for 3 years without any issues at all.

I have a P-1000-3 and I have both an overhead rack and the Seizmik ICOS.
As long as you don't need the seat space, the ICOS is way easier to use and definitely the way to go in my opinion.

I believe @RB3offroad was working on a floor mount gun rack not that long ago. Maybe they will chime in.

I have a P-1000-3 and I mainly use my rig for hunting and plowing. I have a Kolpin floor mount and a in-bed double boot mount. I love the in-bed mount very secure, but I'm not sold on the floor mount

We have these mounted on the front ROPS bar, with a mirror below. Only holds one, but holds it well. Shotgun, AR, Bolt rifle all work:

Lots of great ideas. I’m definitely thinking of going overhead now that I know the headroom is adequate. Hate to take up center seat space with a seat mounted or floor mounted gun holder. Thanks everyone, keep the ideas flowing.

This one keeps it up plenty high completely out of your eyesight. Very secure. I hunt alone so no - it is never pointed at anyone while in the mount which is why some don't like this one. I tried to put it behind but it wouldn't work. I like it where it is and I've used it to secure other long items I want out of the way.

Didn’t you lose that on that tragic boating accident?
