AND it’s close enough dodge should be ashamed to need a big V8 to accomplish what ford can with a V6
Interesting.
I didn't even have to tag you lol. Durango doesn't have the truck tune either.Let me drop the truck performance tune in the explorer and let’s try that again
If you’re not wrenching or getting dirty it’s not a “modification” capability is there just not accessed.
Probably you can really tune the eco up. But I'm sure at the cost of mpg and longevity.Interesting.
Didn't TFL do a squad car thing where the Ecoboost Explorer outran a bunch of stuff?
Probably you can really tune the eco up. But I'm sure at the cost of mpg and longevity.
Hey it's your story tell it how you want.“Eco” 87 tune adds about 60/60 HP/TQ and I get 3-4mpg better on interstate if I stay at 70. I was getting 14mpg pulling the pioneer through the mts at 70 and it was improving vs flatland because I could coast downhill.
Performance tune adds @90/90 and fuel mileage is 3-4 better but it takes 89octane.
Performance 93 adds 110/110 and gets about 3-4 better but requires 93.
Edit: the explorer tunes are milder than the truck tunes the half shafts don’t like the truck tunes.
That's kinda common on them I've read.First real problem on Wolverine. Can’t really blame rig though exhaust was bent up a bit. Definitely not an enjoyable ride out of the woods right now! View attachment 145824
If’n Ye only had some chewing gum. Heck, during WW2, you could patch up a shot up fighter plane with some Wrigley’s chewing gum...First real problem on Wolverine. These were supposedly stock police packages. Maybe the cop version is upped a bit.Probably you can really tune the eco up. But I'm sure at the cost of mpg and longevity.
Ya I heard something about the exhaust. I think this was a little premature. Damn it looks like it’ll need a decent exhaust systemThat's kinda common on them I've read.
In the pickup headed now but damn my ears are ringing still from that. Everyone I passed gave me stink eye. If’n Ye only had some chewing gum. Heck, during WW2, you could patch up a shot up fighter plane with some Wrigley’s chewing gum...
Hopefully you didn't screw up the motor. In the pickup headed now but damn my ears are ringing still from that. Everyone I passed gave me stink eye.
I was being super careful not to lift off of the throttle much or too quickly. Kept it 25-30 easy as possible.i think it’s fine, did what I could. If anything bad at least it’s a jugged engine and cheap to fixHopefully you didn't screw up the motor.
