For real though, f*** John J. Cotter or whoever he is. How am I supposed to get these out when the bent pieces are facing the knuckle? About to just cut these off with some flush cutters....

Adam, I feel your frustration. I ground some side cutters so that they would cut as close as possible.

What also works is just put the wrench on it and start turning, then take another sip of beer and be happy that you didn’t waste hours.

Pull the brake hub and Remove the entire assembly both A-Arms all together spread the whole thing out on the bench, made removing those cotter a lot easier for me,,,
