Yes...the one that's like $1000? Should you really have to do that? Does Honda not how to design cooling systems anymore? I mean...I'm fully confident I could take a 700 to the top of the tallest mountain in hell, and it will never get above 2 bars. I should counterpoint that by saying HP=heat, so there you go.

I'm not high at all now. I'm sure it will be fine. With the temps we are having right now, I'll have plenty of time to burp, tighten grounds, etc before it probably ever goes on an official ride.
Our 700 did have a power issue up high that I just haven’t noticed as much in the 1000 though. Like I said never an overheat problem here, even loaded heavy on a hot day with decent altitude. But heard a few struggles, @Kilo427 was probably the worst

Honestly I think if a person burps the system well and got a good fan and had it wired to a switch to run full time if needed you would not have an issue.

I'm hoping.
I guess you could argue that $1000 on a (potentially) $20k + machine isn't all that much, but still...we buy Honda's for a reason.

I was just looking at another thread on this where the Bakersfield radiator shop guy posted pics of the Gap on the fan. Yeah...I can see that NOT doing its best.

I wouldn't be too concerned about overheating. They should all come with the most recent ECU firmware that resolves the fan not coming on soon enough (or at all). Maybe @HondaTech can confirm? My 2018 overheated with around 20 miles on it, got it flashed with the updated ECU firmware the next day and it's never overheated again (I'm at 1190 miles now). If nothing else, just tell them you want to make sure that it's got the most recent ECU update when you pick it up.

Too good to be true!

Yep. I guess the dealer didn't realize my machine has a payoff. It's higher than the trade in. I noticed this on the receipt for the down payment and called this morning. Payment shot way up as you expect and I'm simply not going to pay that for it. I can now get a 700 for about the payment I thought I was going to have on the 1000, and maybe I'll do that but I'm not sure at all. Oh well...

What what a great way to start the day.

Buddy just sent me these pics. He bought this one from me a few years ago. Was the last of 5 Conquest/Starion platforms I owned . Pics do not do the color justice. Loved those back in the day

Cheers boys! Got new brake pads on, figured out my slack was the stupid ass upper SATV arms, and finally did a clutch relearn which seems to have got rid of my lazy 3rd gear shift. Been a good day. Celebrating with chicken and daquiris
