Had a set of Firestones on my 2002 Silverado that went 120K. Tread was still good but the steel belts were breaking down and causing a wobble at highway speeds.
120k? Geez I have never gotten that many miles out of a set of tires. I must be rough on them.

Well I went through the Firestone deal when all those Explorers flipped over from low air pressure and I think Michelins are owned by someone other than the USA but they do make a great tire.
Weren’t like 90% of the failures one tire? I think it was right rear. Weird a tire could do that. But it’s easier to point a finger then admit failure.

I think they finally determined it was low air pressure but Firestone never recovered from that part of the market. On my 3/4 and 1 ton trucks I had good success with Firestone. They were 235/85/16's. The Ram has factory Goodyears on it and if I keep them rotated I might can get 80,000 miles on them.

I know many locally swap those off the ram saying they are bad on snow/ice. Only personally drove short distance on ice with a few so not much of an impression myself.

Thank goodness we have very little snow and ice here. I think these are 275/60/20's.

Running Hankook Dynapro ATM’s right now with over 80k on them. Tread is good. Road noise is getting noticeable. Excellent performance to date.

I bought them on a buddy’s recommendation he routinely gets 100k+on every set he has run on his Toyota 1/2 ton pickup and his wife Toyota suv.
