Hats off to you! There’s nothing better for kids than organized sports in my opinion. I coached minor hockey for 17 yrs. They not only learn the sport but just as important they learn life skills which keeps them out of trouble. We need more people like you. Some of you know I joined my hometown football board and although being new I'm bringing old-school ideas and it taking off like wildfire. I got drunk a few weeks back and that's where I come up with stuff and if it's there in the morning I run with it. Kinda like a little bird on my shoulder tells me what to do lol thats how hfa got started. Anyway I said we need a combine., these kids need a goal bring some old school competition for these kids. 80s style. I said to the powers that be I wanted to do it. Now the local paper is calling. And showing up to cover it.

When I was a kid I was bullied big time Rick rhymes with dick so you can imagine. End of my 6th grade year that all changed when mother nature creeped in. And I was " dating" 8th graders lol. Anyhow I can recall everything from being that age and what I wished/wanted. I wanted to win, didn't matter what but there was nothing to win other than some sports games that nobody paid much attention too. I'm trying to change all that here. I want kids to have something to dream about and shoot for here. We're starting a record book and in my interview I'll push for the public to come buy a hotdog and cheer on the team. Nobody pushes that and it means the world to kids to have spectators. In the early 90s when I was a wee lad half our crowd was locals that didn't even have a kid in the sport. But overall a solid sport team brings the community together.Hats off to you! There’s nothing better for kids than organized sports in my opinion. I coached minor hockey for 17 yrs. The best part of it all is I see some of these kids once in awhile in town starting their own young families and they still call me coach. Very rewarding. And God bless you for doing that. It's not easy.
You should get hammered drunk before the interview and show them that thing @TripleB taught you to do with a hotdog. That would get the crowds out for sure! When I was a kid I was bullied big time Rick rhymes with dick so you can imagine. End of my 6th grade year that all changed when mother nature creeped in. ROTF! I used to live across the street from an old guy who did a lot of woodworking in his garage. I was going to have him make me an actual pegleg on his lathe so I could dress up as a pirate for Halloween. Sadly, he passed away before I could get him to do that.It made me a better person pegleg!
Thanks, I was duck hunting in north Dakota and this old guy from town wanted to hunt with us he was really annoying to be around, he was the best hunter, had the best dog, best duck caller on and on. He lost his leg at work because he didn't lock out tag out a machine and someone flipped the switch. Anyways he was running his mouth and my buddy had enough and said to him dammit pegleg I wish it was your mouth that got caught in that machine. Never forgot that about pissed my pants.ROTF! Seriously: I commend you on what you're doing for the youth in your area.
