Well I found a breeder. Holy background check ect. Seem to be the most professional. Definitely some stipulations to one of their dogs. $16,000 fine if you breed the dog without their stipulations. Pass a hunt test, DNA testing, hips and eyes, meets breed standards.

Unexpectedly were getting a pup tomorrow. Figured it would be awhile. Wanted one closer to June when the kids will be home on summer break.

They have 5 males sent me some photos and 1 I instantly knew it was the one I wanted. I told them I really liked the orange collar one.

They came back with were not sure which dog were sending to who yet. Competition people get priority, I get that. After a couple hrs they responded with we are willing to let you have that dog!
We've had Chesapeake Bay Retrievers my entire life. My dad was really into them before I was born and bought from the best kennels in the USA then. So I was name dropping like a mofo must of worked.

I'm going to probably be the minority here and stand up for pits. Like any dog, it all depends on how they're raised. I had 2 Shepard/pit mix (brothers) and they were the BEST family dogs I've ever owned. Great with kids, any and all kids. To the point where toddlers use to ride them like horses around the yard 🤦‍♂️. At the same time they were a great guard dog. My dad's neighbor owned their mom (blue nose pit) the most sweet gentle dog ever........but she always looked like she was ready to rip your head off 😂, but I've known Chihuahuas that were meaner then some pits.

Them little ankle biters are the worst.
