Kinda nerve wracking when you’re headed 100 miles into the abyss with a 30 yo rig and you pass two newer trucks overheated on side of road. Definitely warm out though.

Made it to the woods and it’s dirt road beer :30!
40 more miles of dirt road till our destination, some here know exactly where we’re at currently and to those we miss you lots and wish we weren’t going in alone. I hope everyone is doing good. Cheers everyone

@elkguide the service is rough and not many pics from last night we were so excited to ride after the long ass drive in with the totorhome we just went riding. No problems coming in, I really like this old van. Btw checked mileage from last trip into the woods at 16.7, can’t b**** there that’s better then the Xterra gets empty. Love this little Nissan Turbo diesel, it thinks it’s a Cummins!

Went on a couple epic trails, the girls in Puddle Jumper with Ang behind the when and I rode with Hounddog. At one point the girls wanted to hit some water so we split up and hit some really good stuff. Cool that the girls are comfortable riding alone. I drove for a bit and I like his clutch update!
We bombed a few trails and dirt roads and then came across the girls just getting out of the water as we pulled up. It was a great night for us all. Might’ve went through a beer or two:)

They had Sammy for a few days with them so she had fun but nice to have her back. Awesome weekend so far! Pioneering in Idaho!

Cheers boys:

I have not changed many transmissions in my time but those that I have done only took up to maybe eight hours of work. This damn thing took forever. But it is a tiny car with a 7.0 liter motor. The long tube headers is what made it so bad. We did not pull the headers. They can’t be pulled unless you remove the motor. We did have to pull two crossmembers, rack and Pinion, oil pan and a ton of other crap.

Anyway, it’s out and we’re still waiting on the replacement to show up.
