It’s really been within the last 5 years that the size of our big deer has taken off. It’s becoing more and more common. And I LIKE IT !!

We haven’t shot a buck on this place yet and we’ve been here 5 years. I’ve watched this guy grow over the last couple years and this is the year if I’m lucky. If I’m not lucky, my brother will get him.

I haven’t been able to break 160 yet... have some good deer on the wall.. but nothing great yet. If you kill and good buck every year you’ll never kill and great buck.. and I’m due. It’s coming!

We’ve had several get to be about this big but then they don’t show up next year. I’m guessing the neighbors are shooting them.

Yeah.. that’s the b**** about not shooting the “good” deer. Disease, cars or neighbors seem to be their demise! I don’t know how many I’ve passed on that ended just disappearing.

In that picture you showed, the antlers are barely wider than the ears. But like I’ve said about the picture that I showed, I just don’t know how big the deer is. Most deer around here have about a 17ish inch spread from ear to ear if they’re laying flat.

Not sure on the spread I'm guessing 24" ish. That guy is 6'3"

That deer has the large head and long ears if there’s a 24 inch spread.

The deer in the middle has a 21 inch spread
