If you don't need the newer diesel trucks you can get great mileage with 12v. Diesels with all the crap on them don't get the mileage of these anymore. Truck would be 16-18 pulling that. The bus gets over 12 highway at almost 40k pounds.

Yeah I here you. I don't think I could go backwards truck wise not saying motor. But the interior ect I absolutely love my ram megacab. If or when I get a new truck I'd get the exact same thing but maybe a diesel. I have zero issues with power. It's still 385hp and 405 lb ft of torque. I just get bored in the winter and my brain gets thinking lol.

Yep, when I was looking for my diesel In 2013, I tried getting my hands on a low(ish) mileage dodge with the 5.9. Wasnt a whole lot out there that didn't need a lot of body work and this was my daily driver. Found a 2002 f350 with the 7.3 and only 40,xxx original miles. But they were asking $33,000 and weren't willing to negotiate.
