Ok I sold my old Rubicon and fixing to sell my old foreman 400. I am thinking about buying another ATV I have looked a little bit at the rancher 420 and Rubicons but I seen a few Yamaha grizzly 600 or 660s? And they look nice. I drove one a few years ago and liked it but I never had a Yamaha and don't know anyone who has Yamaha atvs just dirt bikes. My question is how reliable are they and are they any good?

Thanks in advance

I've had 2 Yamaha 4 wheelers they were excellent machines . I would not hesitate to own another one.

I really want something with a better ride than what I had. I really want independent rear instead of a straight axles like I have had all my life. My cousin has a old Polaris sportsman 335 with independent and it rides good! It's a piece of junk but it rides good lol

I've got an 04 Grizzly. Bought new. Got around 3000 miles on it, all on the farm. Still use it. In fact been using it this past month while the Pioneer was in the shop. A month waiting on a recall throttle pedal assy. Anyway been a dependable machine. Kind of cold natured is about the only hiccup. Not really a complaint just a nuisance.

My buddy has a 06 (660) and 07 (700) all stock. Bought them new, never really given him any issues. Regular maintenance and rides them hard. They are nice with the IRS. I've swamped them a few times and just have to drain out the belt housing and ride slow till it drys out and keep it going no prob.

Do they seem to have a good low gear? If I get another ATV I want at least 28s but I want something with enough power to turn them.

I always thought the 660 was a bit narrow for it's height. Seems like I recall the early ones having valves tighten up, so you gotta stay on the valve adjustments, but otherwise, yamaha builds a good machine.

I had a ‘03 Kodiak 450. Only sold it to help fund the pioneer. Best damn machine I’ve ever owned. Had a ton of hard miles on it and was still the original belt. The small size and diff lock it would climb up and over or through anything I wanted. Would love to find another one.

I've got a Kodiak....think its a 06, 450, IRS. Has over 7K on it, many while plowing snow. I've only done routine maintenance & brake pads. Still has the original belt. Its the Honda of belt drive machines

Ok thanks guys! I'm going to look around for some Yamaha 660 or 700s! Will my Honda rims fit a Yamaha?
That im not sure of?
my buddy has one that i think is an 50-06’ with IRS, bought it new. We swamp the chit out it. Just regular maint and stuff. Had to put an axel in it. Alot of hard miles. Been a great machine
