We took Big Blue up to the Stillwater mountain range to use the P1000-5D in some different terrain. She performed great. I did notice that when going slow and doing some fairly steep climbing that I like to use manual mode. In automatic I find it hunts for gears at times. Way smother in manual mode. She climbs like a billy goat. Enjoy the pics. We went from 4800' elevation at the valley floor to about 8800' in 40 minutes. I hadent been up in this area in 20 years because I wouldn't take my pickup this god forsaken road. The new bike is getting in places I really enjoy.

Any further issues with overheating while climbing in Low Range?

Same here with manual only in Low Range. That's where the paddle shifters shine. If I leave it in auto mode in Low it really shifts poorly. And for steep downhill I lock it in gear, and if I have to touch the brakes it means I wasn't paying attention

No more overheating issues, pushed it pretty hard and it stayed at 2 bars. I think there was a lack of coolant and air in the cooling system when I picked it up from the dealership.

As I learned this weekend.. keep an eye on the back of that radiator! My collected mud and I was done! If @joeymt33 hadnt had a bilge pump I'd have been screwed!

Yes, we live about 30 minutes from the base of the Stillwater range. With the massive amount of moisture we have had in Nevada allot of the roads are badly damaged and these Honda Pioneers are a god send.
