P700 HID Kit

anyone offer a decent HID kit that won't break the bank ? Or should I do the 1k headlight upgrade?

What is your definition of break the bank?
Should be able to find a quality HID kit for $100 range.
P1K upgrade is $300 or so I believe. Upgrade also requires a new headlight switch for hi/lo beams.

I'd like to stay under the 350 mark.
Is the P1K lights worth it ?

Yes and no.
Do you have supplemental lighting currently? If so, skip the P1K lights.
One downside is LED do not create enough heat to melt snow. When plowing with mine, the headlights get frosted over with snow.
If you go HID, that will not be a problem.
Another option is LED bulbs in your current housings. 880/881 I believe is the bulb number. Hit amazon or ebay.

I've got a 44" bar

I'm in Louisiana so snow won't be a issue. Lol.

Any certain name brand led bulbs better than the other ?

I really do not know. All seem to be made in the same place. Pick something in a price range you like.
