Are there any holsters out there that are fully enclosed? I mean that keep the muzzle from getting dirt inside while sitting on the ground.

when hunting I sit on the ground quite often and would like a holster to keep the muzzle clean.

not interested in a shoulder holster.

not that i know of. if for a revolver some of the leather ones are full cover but for semi. i think most are open bottom.

There are plenty of leather holsters and a few Uncle Mikes cordua holsters that are closed muzzles

There are some nice leather ones with enclosed ends. I have one for my 1911

I've got boxes full of holsters, cheap ones and expensive ones. The holsters I now use are from Versacarry. The specific model is the Commander, which is an OWB distressed leather designed to properly protect the firearm (and wearer) and also accommodates an extra magazine. Here's a pic:



Pretty? No, but it's very functional and it's for concealed carry, so who cares? Finally, they're very reasonably priced. This particular holster is on sale right now for $34.99 (usually $51.99). Edit: Whoops! Just realized that you'e looking for something that has an enclosed muzzle. The Commander is NOT enclosed, but there may be other models from Versacarry that are.
