I have the oem Honda Flag and mount. The vehicle is not near me and I wanted to add a spring to the base to keep it from breaking. Anyone know what size the threads are on the oem Honda flag and mount are?

@rockremoval: I don't have the Honda flag or OEM mount. There's that.
But I loop a ball-bungee around the roll cage and flag pole to relieve the stress on the mount. I've trailered my machine this way at 70 and it hasn't broken yet (trailered at least to the first gas station when I realized I hadn't tied the flag down). It has a lot of give at high speeds and the stress is shared. Coupla bucks on Amazone for bucket of ball bungees.
(FWIW: the not-OEM pole has a 1/2" thread at the bottom).
Edit Note: I generally have the flag on when riding the sand, but there are also a lot of Pinyon-Juniper Pine trees on my trails. Tucking the mount and flag behind the roll cage (ROPS) also protects it from a lot of tree limbs.
I don't believe them, but my passengers gripe about high-speed slaps from tree branches. Funny, I don't get them on my driver's side. 😁
