I have purchased the OEM honda washer/wiper setup for my 2023 1000-5 trail. I do not have the OEM fuse box, but rather an aftermarket one. Wondering if the diagram referenced in this post, is still correct? I know the P/N, 0se10-hl4-a01, for the 2022+ wiper is different than previous years.

This is the post I found

The wiring for the wiper looks like it should be the same as what was in that link or at least the wire colors in the harness match. But the 22+ models include a washer sprayer but the wiring for the washer and the switch is where I am a little lost. The washer pump is just 2 wires but I'm guessing part of the power for that also activates the wiper when the washer is pressed on the switch which would need to be wired in with the relay?

That wiring dia. works. The washer pump is separate from this.
After all the work you will be as disapointed as I am with the oem Honda wiper, It only sweeps about 135°.

Yes I got the hardware installed and just manually jumped the wires to try things out and yes a wider sweep would be nice but it isn't horrible. I am going to try to find a relay tomorrow at the auto parts store but still unsure of how to wire the switch. The switch has 5 terminals.

As your holding it. Power in middle left and jumped to middle right. Bottom left to 86 on relay. Bottom right to washer pump

Switch illumination? I think
I tried that for illumination on the bench but nothing activates the light . It looks like the switch is supposed to be illuminated when on but putting it to either + or - doesn't do anything.

Actually it must not be used. I popped the switch cover plate off and no led even though the cover is meant for an led. That is dumb. If anyone has a source for a similar back-lit switch please let me know.

Wanted to circle back to this because I have an issue with this. Randomly the wiper will not turn off. I have checked all the wiring connections and replaced the relay once. I am not sure what else besides the relay it could be? Switch?

check the park switch in the wiper motor when the wiper leaves the home position the park switch closes and supplies a second +12v to the relay to bring the wiper back to the home position. If that switch sticks, then you would have power to the relay regardless of your wiper switch setting

So that is a 4 pin relay diagram, correct? Mine is setup with a 5 pin?

I do not have the Honda schematic I arrived at this based on voltages on the 4 wires at the wiper motor. It is possible that the park switch connects to the relay? You have changed the relay, so in my mind the next things to check are the switches. The park switch is harder to get to, so Murphys law would suggest to look there first

I finally had it happen today-I pulled the switch out of the dash while it was running and pulled the "out" 12v+ from the switch going to the relay which should have closed the relay and activated the park switch, and it kept wiping. So I'm assuming that points to the 5 pin relay, not the park switch?

However staring at the diagram again:
The yellow negative wire going to the park switch, I have connected to my ground bus bar and a separate wire on the same ground bus bar connects to pin 87 on the relay. My interpretation of the diagram is that the wire going to pin 87 T's off of the ground circuit-is that correct? I've also found some generic wiring diagrams for 5 pin relays online which show pins 85 and 86 flip flopped where 86 is actually connected to the + from switch. So I'm even more confused now.

The diagram you have is a switched ground, when I took measurements on mine it was switched positive. Was there a change from 2018 to 2022? If yours is actually a switched positive I would say it looks like a problem with the park switch in the wiper. When it happens again pull the connector off the wiper motor an check continuity between your +12 in (red) and your park switch out (

I’m not used to doing this on my phone
I just scrolled up to my drawing. Check continuity between yellow ( +12in) to green (hold signal to relay) to see if your park switch is sticking
