Delton submitted a new resource:

Honda Pioneer 1000 brake pad replacement - Honda Pioneer 1000 brake pad replacement

First off let me say this is by far the easiest set of brake pads I've ever replaced. If you know an Allen wrench from a Screwdriver, you'll have no problem doing this.

For the 1000, all 4 wheels are the same. Only differencs is the location of the caliper.

Parts needed:
  • Front LEFT set - 06451-HL4-A01 - $41.93
  • Front RIGHT set - 06452-HL4-A01 - $41.93
  • Rear LEFT set -...

Been meaning to get around to approving this contribution by @Delton.
If you are looking to change your brake pads it is a fairly simple job.
If you have any questions just ask.
Thanks for the time taking the pics @Delton.

Hope it helps someone. Seriously this was so easy to do.
Nice write up @Delton! Quick question...do you have to remove the fill cap when compressing pistons on caliperso_O

No. Just keep an eye on the level. Remove cap only to add fluid or to drain off if it's gonna spill over.

@Delton really appreciate you doing this. I gotta tackle mine too. Can you share a link or something to where you bought your pads?
I've called both dealers in Chattanooga and neither of them have pads in stock. I really can't understand why they don't stock a wear item for these machines. Oh well... they just missed a sale.

Got mine from local dealer. Had to order but only took 2 days to get. 166 bucks with taxes. Ridiculous.

Write up took way longer than the job itself lol. Hoping people will see how easy it is and not blow money at the dealership.

Wanted to add a video of the feeler noise for reference.

IF YOU HEAR THIS.... ITS TIME FOR NEW PADS!
it is an awful noise... I had to listen to mine all the way off the mtn when they hit the indicators. after I changed them, I now realize that it would be supper easy to reach in there and bend the indicator tab to stop the squeaking... just to get off the mtn without losing your mind!lol
