Those oil drains to tend to confuse the shat outta ya when you first maintain a P1K

It's real easy, you need two socket sizes to change the oil , a 12 & 10 mm, leave all the other sockets in the tool box!

As Hondasxs says, no need. And while I agree, I found it easy to remove the skid plate with the machine raised up some. No skid plate means no mess (mostly).

My maint. countdown timer says 91 miles and 13 hours till initial service And the wrench just came on..
I have 9 miles and 7.5 hours on the machine. Is the wrench supposed to come on this early to get you ready?.....
DUH.... I JUST REALIZED THAT THE WRENCH ONLY APPEARS ON THE MAINT PAGE AND HAS ALWAYS BEEN THERE.
Sometimes I'm a day late and a dollar short but eventually I get there

I was late at about 390 miles with my first oil change due to health problems. I now have over 600 miles. No wrench showing yet. So will it come on at 390 miles plus 500 or at 890 miles? I am now over about 45 hours of key on time.

Scroll though your dash gage switch till you get to the maint. hour/mileage selection and see if the wrench shows when there.

I've got a newbish question about maintenance.

My Wrench (2) icon popped up with 3600 miles on my new to me 2021. At 3k the previous owner had it serviced at his dealer and changed all the fluids ahead of schedule (engine & trans fluids and diff fluids) Should I just do all the other maintenance besides those and then reset the counter? I feel like those fluid changes will now be off-cycle from the normal maint schedule.

imo - an extra 600 miles on the oil is perfectly fine - I think hondabob or someone changes oil every 5k miles

I'm about to purchase a used 2022 Honda Pioneer 100-5 Trail Edition from a dealer in Georgia and the only thing I can tell has been done is the oil and it has new tires. They said they did a "full service" but the receipt only shows an oil change. It currently has 352 hours / 3410 miles. What is the forums opinion on what service I should have completed before I pick it up? I don't have a place to get it serviced close to wher I live.

Engine oil & filters
Transmission oil
Air filter
Differential oil
Antifreeze
Clutch relearn
Adjust cables - diffs, shifter
And beat on them for a little warranty or 30 day.. JMO

Thanks for your reply. By the receipts, it looks like they replaced the engine oil, sub-transmission oil, and air filter and put new tires on it.

If the service they completed was within the last couple of hundred miles, I‘d say go for it.
