I'm thinking I like these with the waterproof case and larger 12 ga wire. Any thoughts? Will the sound system "buzz" with these type relays?

Because these are not fused, you will need to provide separate fusing for each relay. I can't imagine they will induce any electrical noise into your sound system, they are very similar to the ones in the buggy currently. You also need to understand your switch is only rated for 20 amps. You cannot run your power through the switch to the amp, etc. You will need to go through the switch to the relay and have the relay switch the power to the amp on and off. The switch has two circuits, I would use one for each of the devices you are powering. I think it is pin 1-2 for switch A and 4-5 for switch B.

Yep, you can’t underestimate the value of a relay for its cost. I’ve seen a lot of melted/burnt switches.

After looking at the switch, it appears there is only a single switch circuit in it...

Your wiring should go something like this...

Yes, 1 amp switch to fused 12 volt power supply block I already installed, and the relay will complete the 30 or 15 amp red (hot side) to the equipment. The stereo equipment (both pieces) have their respective in line fuses, 15 and 30 amp. Right?

This is what I want to power the relay to switch with:

I’m blown away by how hard everyone makes all this seem. I can’t understand half of it. I just did my homework found out how to make an electrical distribution centre . Mounted it over the second battery space mounted my second battery under the drivers seat and haven’t had any issues.97C0A689 A568 47E3 B7A2 8E91A691F9B772F06764 D8B8 4BEF 9F1F A714BB9114D5EF593D8C 25D3 4878 8D86 D1B6294BE6EAB623FC8A E990 4C92 8045 2734DE7B7B1444A4E6BF 6BC4 4FAA 83D1 BB8D64419AADB47E7C2B C65F 4F39 ACED B7992B440DC397C0A689 A568 47E3 B7A2 8E91A691F9B71B7DC1B7 BECB 4896 A2D4 7D9A79D93FC7

Yes it sounds difficult on here but it’s really not and you will get to know your honda . There is a list of stuff you need but you can find it . Pinterest gave me lots of Ideas On how to make a DIY fuse relay pannel . I mounted a Honda Civic size Optima battery under the drivers seat and ran 4 gage wire up under the hood to a good solenoid that I can run with a switch to turn my fuse panel on and connect all my accessories to. 92B992A9 AFDF 40CC AC43 AAB7BC0412382C888B03 3D45 4325 AE75 42F876BDCD2EEBD91D99 DBFE 47B6 935C 72F1181A42EBGround battery to the factory ground on the engine. Get a voltage sensitive relay module so you can charge both batterys . i used the ground under the hood that Honda gives you to ground my fuse pannel and winch. Just take your time.I even kept the stock air intake because I had the room to do so.

I just finished setting up my 1000-5 LE. See if this helps/works.
Winch: battery pos. to winch mechanical breaker in plastic box to winch solenoid bolted near back driver's side. Wired out for controls.
All Acc: battery pos. to 30A circuit breaker (attached to pass. side near air box) to relay (key-on-power from positap on acc fuse) to 6 slot fuse box with neg. bus. fixed near back passenger side.

My Acc: fuse box has one slot left free. The others are 1) winch, 2) wireless remote, 3) street legal signals, 4) horn, and 5) 4" LED round lights on a relay.
Note: I left the main and winch power cables long and the dual battery area open (with room up front by refill tanks for the dual batt. isolator).
StewB

PS: Just saw Rubin's post. His has one of the six tap fuse boxes I'm talking about. I mounted mine upright against passenger side near the back of the compartment - it looks like his winch gear is near where I put my fuse box. There are many ways to do it, but do spend a lot more time planning (including for expansion) rather than cutting and bolting.

I believe that would be the contactor for his winch.
