Hi to all and happy holidays
So start to finish, 3 hour install time. The only issue I had was th the cab heater vents the hole must be exactly
2-1/2. Inches. You Can actually force the vent through the hole even when exact. I didn't have the exact hole saw. Would recommend having that. Actually no wiring involved. You unplug the accessory socket and they have the exact plug ends to go to the heater. The air vent hose was recommended to be connected with zip ties. As all 4 connect to the heater from the bottom. I installed 2 self tapping screws to each connection. FYI.. The inferno box flaps are an exact fit to cover the radiator. Am going hunting tomorrow. I will update about how it Works.

Look forward to your report. I have the same heater on order. Do you have doors on your 500?

yes I have the honda doors.
Ok so spent all day out today. Took about 10 minutes to warm up. The cardboard in front of the radiator dose help. My temp went from 2 bars to 3. The outside temp was 26° the cab interior. Hovered around 73-74°. I drove around most of the day in just a t-shirt and no gloves. That was on the low setting. Hi fan setting was too hot. I did however take the cardboard out for a couple of hours. There was a noticeable difference in the temperature. I checked my ziptie connections and 1 of the 4 had already slid down on the vent hose so definitely do some sort of screw into the plastic to hold the vent hose. Other than that. Nothing else to report.

I have found the best solution is to use real foil duct tape to hold the hoses to the vents. Seals them off also.

did it do a good job of keeping the window defrosted? Sounds like it puts out plenty of heat.

For the temperature outside it seemed to do good. It did not rain or snow. What I did notice was it kept the floorboards dry. Thus eliminating the moisture inside the cab. No frost on the exterior built up or moisture on the inside.

I’m installing the inferno on 2019 700-4 deluxe these next days off. Do u live in an extremely cold climate (I’m in northern Alberta). I have Honda fabric doors (will seal them up as weather improves). How is it when it’s very cold? I will put a cover on the rad also. Thanks in advance

No, but a cold SXS makes the wife miserable in the winter ... :)

If your heater has a temperature control valve (or at least a shutoff valve), you can stop the coolant from flowing through the system in the warmer months.

Dude Scoop is 100% correct: Keep the woman happy. Happy woman in the cold of winter is better than my happiness in the summer lol

Hence my use of the word "IF"

A temp control valve or shutoff valve is installed in the coolant line that feeds the core. It is used to limit or stop coolant flow to the core.
