I ended up selling my Talon a few months ago because we wanted a cabbed machine and the fellow that purchased it had a KRX.

Here is why he bought my 2019 used Talon when he owned a much newer KRX. His issues dealing with Kawasaki made me skip looking at their machines when shopping for a cabbed machine.

interesting if the overheating and possibly running it hot may have contributed to the engine failure on the now deleted video. I get it the fan relay or whatever may have failed but the machine displays actual coolant temp. we have limped many machines out where the fan or whatever failed, just stop, let it cool, go a little further, rinse and repeat. there was some you tube video of a rental shop, same deal, cooling fan not running failures and less than familiar renters running to meltdown.

thats whats dissapointing about my talon, used a '16 utility machine display and no actual temp - just # of fans, lol.

I only watch one thing when riding, actual coolant temperature.......2nd best mod after valves\springs, and no, I didn't add a second battery for the gauge.....

Do you have any photos of how/where you added the sensor? Is it a surface contact like my Johnson outboard or actually inserted into the coolant?

I put it in the fluid stream- found a (26mm) aluminum 1” inline fitting.

Never drained the coolant - siphoned some out to get below where I was cutting the hose, clamped the hose off, cut the hose, installed fitting/sensor and dumped the siphoned coolant back in and done.

No issues thus far. 🤞

Thats a nice Zero turn. I do like the Kawi mower engines they are stout.

Me three! I'm rocking a Spartan RZ-Pro with a 61" deck and a Kawasaki engine. Zero complaints about the mower or the engine.

I highly recommend looking at Spartan mowers if your in need of a new ZT. 100% made in USA (Arkansas) and they are built like tanks.

I guess the C on the seat gave that away😂
Ill pass on those ChiCom bombs.
Looked good tho.

I love my 2014 gravely. Just had to replace belts. Only replaced outer spindle twice. Been good mower. A friend got a new Farris with shocks. I would probably look at those. Still kawasaki motor 😉🤣

Thats the one Ive had since 2012. Been a good mower. Has a briggs commercial. The only issue is that they are out of busness. Filed for bankruptcy a few yrs ago. Some Farris stuff is still around. Sthil now Farris under the Sthil name. I cant get parts for my Farris/Simplicity thats why Im thinking if changing.

this site says they aren’t built in commieville…. Of course, the article is over a year old, so things may be different by now.

There are alot of parts from there and Meheco tho outsourced on it just assembled here like many others. Its The only why they can be more affordable to be sold at TSC and the like. I should have been more clear. Thanks for the link.

no sweat...you weren't the one who hijacked the thread and made it about mowers.

😬 sorry for that....😇
so it is ok if someone want to buy a KRX or not?

im sensing not all of them melt down\blow up\self destruct power plants

Im gonna be in the market this next yr. My 13yr old simplicity/Farris zero has been good but its time.

As previously mentioned, it is a commercial Cub Cadet and the model is Pro Z 560 S KW with the Kawasaki FX850V engine and 12cc Parker HTJ transmission. It is built like a tank! It’s a great mower.

I bought this particular model because of the 4-wheel steering and exceptional traction it provides while mowing steep hills. I demo’d quite a few traditional lap-bar ZeroTurn mowers and they would slide down the hills in damp conditions and I almost tipped over on a standard riding mower I owned for a short time. If I mow straight up/down, my tractor was sufficient but, it took 4 hours to mow my property. The Cub does it in 1 1/2 - 2 hours depending on how fast I want to go.

I really like the Ferris mowers. If they had a model with a steering wheel/4-wheel steering, I would have gone that direction. The suspension they have is pretty cool. Although, my Cub is equipped with a bar-type front suspension and a suspension seat so it too rides pretty good.
