P1000 KFI Winch Mount

Most of the viper come with winch mounts but only say for pioneer 700. I wonder if I should go ahead and get this mount since viper prolly doesn't have a winch mount for the p1000 yet?

The Viper winch will fit the KFI Mount from looking at all of the other winches that will fit. The Vipers are very similar to the Warns in Size and profile. From the looks this mount will work with both Wide(3x6.6) and Standard (3x4.875)width winches

Mine's ordered as well. Head's up for anyone else, I found that I could only use PayPal for payment. Possibly one could physically call them with a CC #. Regardless, order is placed. I'll soon have all my OEM and aftermarket parts for my PK1, though Honda is yet to release and ship the Camo model...maybe in 2016???

Front Bumpers mid Dec, i've had one ordered since mid-Oct.

KFI winch mount actually just showed up today, looks pretty simple. The Honda holes on the bumper for the fairlead mount are designed for wide spool (6in) however KFI has a fairlead convertor mount plate for 4.875 bolt pattern. The mounting plate itself has bolt layouts for standard wide and 2 hole winches, just waiting for the winch to show up now.

Just got my emails today on my KFI Mount and Terra 45 winch both will arrive Tuesday 12/8 sadly there is no Metallic Silver P1K5D in my building to mount it on. Pretty dang happy with the 4500 # Wide Spool Winch with Synthetic Rope & Mount together for only $306.

Must be a lot of those boxes moving about the country today, one showed up at my door too.
Besides the mount, they stuffed a rubber stopper for the winch line in there also.
Now if only I had a PK1 to mount all this stuff on...(sigh).

The stopper was an additional 12 bucks or so.
Not much in life is free, especially at KFI.

Got mine installed tonight. Aside from those 10mm bolts on both side (factory) and having to use a gear wrench to get them out so I don't wake my wife and little girls, it was a breeze to install and wire winch up.

what wire did you tie into for the hot? I've got mine all hooked up besides that 1 wire.

I'm straight to the battery on my main power and running through my aftermarket fuse block on the momentary switch.

Has anyone confirmed that a wide spool Viper will work with the KFI mount. I have the Viper Max 5000 Widespool
I called KFI and they have not tested it.
The bolt pattern 3 x 6.6 will match but the KFI rep was concerned about the overall size...

I have the viper max 5000 lb wide spool and it fits the KFI mount just fine.

I've mounted my Warn 4500S on the KFI mount. One obvious thing that I noticed that I'm not pleased to see is the angle of the fairlead coming from the winch spool, going up on a 45 degree angle or so, to the smooth surfaced open chalk. It's fine on the outside, but the 45 degree angle lightly contacts a not so smooth surface on the inside. The synthetic lines will wear and part in a heart beat if they chaff on anything. hopefully, it will be ok, but at this point, I'm not sure.
