I did it 3 years ago. Me and a friend drove from here. 25 hours. Straight through driving it wasn't that bad actually. Awesome time in the desert for a week.

I'm sure, but I'd have to make a three week event of it. I have no interest in covering such ground in such short time. I'm from the area and these type events were going on in the dune buggy days. Great fun the California desert.

Only difference is they through in rock crawling on top of having to desert racing

Yeah, going to KOTH is a bucket list item for me. A buddy of mine crewed for one of the original 12. I think they ran a WEROCK rig before XRRA was really getting popular

Those guys are fun to watch! I was at KOH for the first year of the bouncers vs the ultra 4 shootout. Those bouncers are awesome, but if I remember correctly the John Deere bouncer said after the actual race "its harder than he thought it was going to be and he was going to have to rethink his design". Either way it was definitely entertaining and fun to see someone trying to push the sport.
