I would like to share my seat heat install on my 17 LE.
First thing is thanks to @Bayouownbeer for the guality product and quick delivery.the first pics are of a couple temp reading before i started the engine.
20170821 185117
20170821 185133

The temp today was 98 or so.
These are after a 15 or 20 minute ride.
20170821 185745

Then i removed the seat.installed the shield.
Apparently my 17 has the seat heat fix fr
om Honda. Its a thin piece of rubber over the meatal bars.
20170821 190215

The sheild install very easily. Had to remove 6 or 8 plastic rivets. Tucked it up under the back plastic and it fit perfictly.
20170821 191212
20170821 191206

Next are a few readings after install and about a 20 minute ride.
20170821 191910
20170821 191923

So as you can see the sheild mad a huge difference in my case. I also went grabbed the wife and took the wife on a 15 minute ride around our property approximately 20 minutes long. Stopping and starting numerous times. She even noticed the difference.

So i am VERY happy with the mod.
Thanks again@ Bayouownbeer for the product.
I hope this helps someone else on the forum.

That's for the real world pics! I wish I had gaged mine before and after...

Add yourself one of these under the seat and you'll keep that heat from building up.

Did you trim the shield from around the storage box?

No, i left the sheild complete. I contemplated cutting it out but i dont have anything stored in it yet. I think if i open it up to alow direct access to the storage i may install Dynamat around the outside of the plastic box and then put slits in the sheild to alow easy access.

Hey just a heads up. On the driver seat belt there are 2 wires that go to the buckle, just pull them out and short the wires together and you won't have to sit on the seat belt all the time

I wish I had done this as well....... Are you planning on bilge fan, etc, and if so can you take temp after the 15-20 minute ride?

Yes i am the first on the list for the Honda retrofit. I have the fan that JTW suggested on its way. As soon as i get it installed i will post the temp readings here.
I will remove my added sheild and not use the fan , and take temp readings. My dealer wants to us my machine as a test unit. We will chronicle along the way.

Add yourself one of these under the seat and you'll keep that heat from building up.
You need to install a 10 inch fan ceramic coat headers and pipes along with heat shield and heat wraps that 4 inch bilge pump fan will not last cannot be used extended time frame bearing melts case also if your in desert dust will destroy must have sealed bearings have fixed problem Email me at [email protected] for photos
